Lids fit tightly, but are easy to get off when you need to. I had to pump about 10 times, but that created a strong vacuum. Pushing sideways on the valve instantly sucked in fresh air. This is so much quicker than the traditional way, it made me think “am I really finished?” Great stuff - thanks!
